Crew Training

Training planning and execution tracking with STCW course management and training completion records.

The Crew Training module manages the planning, scheduling, and recording of all training activities for your seafarer pool, ensuring compliance with STCW training requirements and company-specific competency standards.

Training Types & Categories

Training is organized into configurable categories: STCW mandatory courses (BST, AFF, MEFA, Medical Care, GMDSS), specialized training (ECDIS type-specific, DP certification, IGF Code), tanker training (oil, chemical, gas), company-specific courses, and flag-state requirements. Each training type defines its validity period and renewal requirements.

Completion Records

Every training course completed by a seafarer is recorded with the training provider, date, certificate number, and expiry date. These records integrate directly with the certification tracking module, ensuring that training-dependent certificates are flagged when underlying training expires.

Compliance Verification

The system cross-references each seafarer's training records against the requirements for their rank, vessel type, and flag state. A compliance matrix shows at a glance which crew members need additional training before they can be deployed, integrated with the crew-compliance verification package used throughout E-CMS.

Training Planning

Shore-based training managers can plan training sessions, assign seafarers to courses, and track attendance. Training cost tracking and budget management help optimize training spend across the crew pool.
