The Crew Evaluation module brings structure and consistency to seafarer performance reviews, replacing ad-hoc assessment methods with a standardized digital process.

Evaluation Questionnaires

Customizable evaluation templates define the criteria assessed for each rank. Questions can cover technical competency, safety awareness, teamwork, leadership, communication, and other performance dimensions. Each criterion is scored on a configurable scale with space for assessor comments.

Assessment Workflow

Evaluations follow a structured workflow: the seafarer may complete a self-assessment, the Master or department head conducts the primary evaluation, and shore-based management reviews and approves the final assessment. Each stage is tracked with status indicators (completed, approved, reviewed).

Performance Management

Evaluation scores are aggregated over time to build a performance profile for each seafarer. The system tracks performance warnings, records re-employment decisions (re-engage, conditional, do not re-engage), and flags promotion recommendations. AI-powered analysis can identify performance trends across the crew pool.

Analytics & Reporting

Evaluation analytics provide fleet-wide insights into crew performance distributions, identify training needs, and highlight top performers for advancement. Reports can be filtered by vessel, rank, nationality, and evaluation period.
