Contract Extension — tightly sewn with Leave Requests

A Leave Request can be initiated by either the crew member or the crew operator. When a request is confirmed by either side, E‑CMS automatically generates the Contract Extension form and pops it up in the Master’s Vessel Interface, where the Master acts as the witness of the extension letter signing.

  • The Extension form is prefilled from the current CoE;
  • After countersignature by the Company representative and the seafarer, and witnessing by the Master, the system attaches a sealed PDF Contract Extension Letter to the crew’s sea‑service record, alongside the original Contract of Employment.
  • The workflow is straight‑through and excludes e‑mail bouncing.
