Certificates & Class Surveys

Class and statutory certificates with expiry and survey windows, conditions of class and survey items linked to equipment, synced to the ship.

Maintenance and class go together. The certificate register in E-PMS holds each vessel's class and statutory certificates with their expiry dates and survey windows, the continuous-survey items linked to the equipment they concern, and conditions of class with their due dates.

Surveys in the Maintenance Plan

Survey items are linked to registry equipment, so a class survey appears where the engineer plans work rather than in a separate spreadsheet. An attention strip on the vessel's work list shows what is coming due, and the office fleet overview counts certificates expiring across all vessels.

Evidence on Demand

Certificate scans are attached to the record and sync to the ship, arriving over the link piece by piece if necessary. An evidence pack can be produced per equipment, drawing together its completed work orders, readings and related records for a surveyor, a vetting inspector or an internal audit.

Docking Cycles

Bottom inspections and special surveys drive the docking cycle. The Dry-Dock module draws each vessel's dockings and in-water surveys against the regulatory due window, and completing a docking signs off the open hull-inspection work and raises the next cycle.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are certificates visible on board?
Yes. The register and its scans sync to the vessel, and an attention strip on the work list shows what is coming due.
How do class surveys relate to maintenance jobs?
Survey items are linked to the equipment they concern in the registry, so they appear alongside that equipment's maintenance in the plan.
Can I produce evidence for a surveyor quickly?
An evidence pack per equipment gathers its completed work orders, readings and related records in one place.
