The Seafarer's Interface — Crew Self-Service Portal

The Seafarer's Interface is E-CMS's self-service app for crew. Seafarers handle their own paperwork from a phone — check the next assignment, sign the contract, log rest hours, and find their certificates and travel documents — instead of waiting on the office. Each person sees only their own record.

The next assignment, at a glance

• Current vessel, rank, sign-on date and end of contract — with a progress bar for time served.
• Accept or decline a planning offer in a tap, with the vessel, rank, dates, length and wages all shown.
• Set a Date of Readiness and preferred contract length so the office plans around real availability.

Contracts signed on the phone

• Read the Seafarer Employment Agreement on screen and sign it with a fingertip.
• The signed PDF carries a QR code anyone can scan to confirm it's genuine — encrypted and tamper-proof.

Leave and rest hours

• Request leave and reply Agree, Neutral or Disagree — and see the Master's and the office's decisions separately.
• On board, crew fill in, review and sign rest-hour records to keep STCW/MLC hours current.

Pay, certificates and documents

• Download payslips and allotment statements on demand.
• Open any certificate, filter by what's expiring, and download them all as one ZIP for sign-on.
• With the AI add-on, a seafarer adds a certificate by photographing it and E-CMS reads the details automatically. For security the portal accepts images only — never uploaded files, so nothing but a photo ever reaches the server.

Travel and crew change

• The full trip in one place — Letter of Guarantee, OK2B and e-tickets included.
• Call the agent or superintendent (phone, after-hours or WhatsApp) and follow the flights on a live route map.

Evaluations and alerts

• Read evaluations, see the scores, and respond.
• Push notifications for new offers, approvals and reminders.

Crew add the Seafarer's Interface to the home screen — no app store needed. It sends push notifications and shows when the phone is offline.
