E-CMS Integration
Standalone by design, better together: crew accounts, ranks and eligibility from E-CMS, real crew on work orders and hours exchanged with rest-hours records.
E-PMS is a complete planned maintenance system on its own, with its own users, ranks and fleet administration. Run together with E-CMS, Sealogic's crew management system, the two share the people, which removes the double entry that usually sits between crewing and technical departments.
User Provisioning
Crew accounts, ranks and departments are pulled from E-CMS and flow down to every ship. A sign-on ashore gives a seafarer access to their vessel's E-PMS; a sign-off revokes it. Ranks are owned by crewing and read-only in E-PMS, so nothing can drift between the two systems. Office users sign in once with Sealogic single sign-on, and superintendents can inherit their fleet assignment from the vessels E-CMS lists them on.
Job Execution
Work orders are performed by real people. With E-CMS connected, the executors offered on a work order are the crew actually on board by rank and department, and the names frozen on the completed record are the same identities crewing holds. Responsible-rank rules on maintenance jobs use the same rank vocabulary as the crew list.
Work-Hours Exchange
Every started work order runs a timer and banks the time worked by its executors. Those hours are exchanged with E-CMS, where rest-hours records live, so maintenance work counts towards the hours a seafarer has actually worked rather than being re-keyed from memory.
Still Standalone When You Need It
Without E-CMS, the office curates the rank vocabulary and creates accounts itself, and every other module behaves exactly the same. Integrations run on the office node; vessels receive the results through their normal exchange and never talk to external services directly. API tokens allow other systems to read or write E-PMS data.
